Amazing tea table hostesses are the heart of a fun and successful fundraiser which ensures the arts are continuously supported in Platte City. Hostesses are recognized in the event program with their photo and short bio. If you’d like to participate as a table hostess, please complete the form below.
As a Hostess, you agree to Decorate, Set and Host a table to represent this year’s theme of Tea at the Derby. Your table may highlight a famous derby horse or be a spring tea table incorporating the traditions of the derby. 2024 is the 150th running of the Kentucky Derby, so that provides lots of decorating ideas!

Hostesses will provide:
Table decorations for the Tea at the Derby theme including centerpiece
Table settings for 8 guests to include tea cups and water goblets
Tea pots for brewing tea (2 are needed per table)
Each hostess will be featured in the Tea program. A picture and a short bio will be requested upon approval of your application.

Hostesses are asked to decorate their table at Eighteen Ninety beginning at 11:30am THE DAY OF THE EVENT.

Tables should be set and ready to go by 1:30 when the doors open ~ the Tea begins at 2pm

It’s All about the tables

From Tea Around the World, Downton Abbey, to Broadway, the theme of the Tea changes each year in order to give our Hostesses the most opportunities to show off their table decorating talents.
